What is paint protection film?
A clear urethane film applied over the paint. It absorbs stone chips, sand, and light scratches instead of the paint itself — useful in Qatar, where heat and blown sand are hard on an unprotected finish.
How long does ceramic coating last?
Measured in years rather than months, depending on the product and how the car is washed and kept. We talk through the realistic lifespan at the consultation.
What is the difference between PPF and ceramic coating?
Film is a physical layer that takes impacts — chips and scratches. Coating is a thin chemical layer that repels water and dust and holds gloss. Many cars get both: film for protection, coating on top for ease of care.
What is Qatar's window tint law?
Qatar permits tint film on the rear side door windows only — not the front or rear windscreen, and not the driver or front passenger windows. It must be the shaded type, not reflective, and it needs a written permit from the Traffic Department: QR 20 through Metrash, issued immediately and delivered as a reissued Istimara carrying the permit. Tint on the whole car is allowed only on a time-limited medical permit, or for certain government and diplomatic vehicles. That is Article 75 of Minister of Interior Decision 6 of 2010. We fit to it, and we decline to go beyond it.
Do you provide a warranty?
Yes. Paint protection film carries a 12-year warranty against yellowing, cracking and loss of gloss, and it transfers with the car if you sell it. Coverage for other work depends on the product and the job; the terms are written on the job card and the digital warranty card you receive at handover.
Do you offer pickup and drop-off?
Yes. Pickup and drop-off is available on request as a delivery service, arranged when you book. The protection work itself is done at our location.
Why are you more expensive?
Different work. A polish package is a machine polish and a wax — it lasts weeks. Paint protection film is a physical layer fitted to the panel, with a 12-year warranty behind it. Both are worth what they cost. They are not the same job.
Which film do you use?
3M Scotchgard Pro Series 200 Gloss — a self-healing urethane film from 3M. We cover it for twelve years against yellowing, cracking and loss of gloss, and the warranty transfers with the car when you sell it.
